
Melissa Becker, PA-C
Melissa Becker is a board-certified physician assistant who earned her Master's of Science in Physician Assistant Studies at Marywood University in Scranton, Pennsylvania. Her Bachelor of Science Degree in Health and Human Services was also earned at Marywood and Melissa graduated Cum Laude as well as being a member of Delta Epsilon Sigma Honor Society.
Melissa has devoted her career to treating patients with acute and chronic musculoskeletal conditions. She was a member of the Orthopedic Trauma Team in Bangor, Maine for four years before specializing in Hand Surgery for the majority of the last 14 years. The remainder of her time, as a physician assistant, was spent in regenerative medicine, total joint surgery, and primary care.
Throughout her career, Melissa has made it a priority to educate patients on their diagnoses and treatment options available, so they are able to participate in the decision-making process regarding their care.
Over the years, with new technologies and treatments available, Melissa continues to educate herself and become skilled in the ability to offer patients different alternatives tailored to their needs. Melissa’s ultimate goal in patient care is to get you back to a more active lifestyle with less discomfort.
Born and raised in New Jersey, Melissa moved to Maine in 1992 to raise her family. Melissa and her husband are now proud to call Port Charlotte home for the last few years. When not working, Melissa enjoys time boating, fishing, and relaxing at the beach. Most of all, she enjoys any activity with her grandsons.
